Short version
Jobsnap is a receipt and invoice tracker for independent contractors. Your financial data belongs to you. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than running the app.
Receipt images and data are stored securely in your personal AWS account under our managed backend. OCR text extraction runs entirely on your device — receipt images are never sent to a third-party AI service for processing.
Data collected by Jobsnap
Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a unique identifier and your email address from that provider. We use this solely to identify your account.
Receipt and invoice data. Photos of receipts, extracted text (merchant, date, amount, category), and invoices you create are stored in your account. This data is synced to our secure cloud backend so you can access it across reinstalls.
App settings. Preferences such as your default currency and merchant name corrections are saved to your account.
Purchase and subscription status. We record whether your account has an active Pro subscription in order to unlock Pro features. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your card number or billing address.
We do not collect:
- Your location
- Contacts, calendar, or microphone access
- Any data from other apps on your device
- Advertising identifiers
Why we process your data
We use your data exclusively to provide and improve Jobsnap:
- Syncing receipts and invoices across your devices
- Generating PDF and CSV exports for your tax records
- Verifying your Pro subscription status
- Responding to support requests you send us
We do not use your financial data for advertising, profiling, or any form of analytics sold to third parties.

Where your data lives
Receipt images are stored in Amazon S3 in an access-controlled bucket. Database records are stored in Amazon DynamoDB. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit over TLS 1.2+.
Access to your data requires valid authentication. We do not have a back-door that bypasses your account credentials.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at jmlkhon17@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Control over your data
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correct — update inaccurate information directly in the app
- Delete — request permanent deletion of your account and all data
- Export — export your receipts and invoices at any time from within the app (PDF and CSV)

Children's privacy
Jobsnap is intended for use by adults managing business finances. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. Continued use of Jobsnap after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
