Open Jobsnap and tap the green Scan receipt button at the bottom of the screen. Point your camera at the receipt, hold steady, and tap the shutter button. The app will automatically read the merchant name, total amount, date, and category.
For best results, ensure the receipt is on a flat surface in good lighting. Crumpled or faded thermal receipts still work — just flatten them out as much as possible.
Yes. Tap any receipt in your list to open it, then tap the Edit button in the top-right corner. You can correct the merchant name, amount, date, and category. Any field the OCR wasn't fully confident about is highlighted in amber so you know where to double-check.
Go to a project or your full receipt list, tap Export, and choose your format:
PDF — includes a summary table plus a scan image of every receipt, ideal for your own records or submitting to a client.
CSV — a clean spreadsheet with columns for date, merchant, category, amount, and project. Your accountant can import it directly into their accounting software.
CSV export is a Pro feature. Free accounts can export a watermarked PDF.
The free plan lets you scan up to 20 receipts per month across 3 projects with a watermarked PDF export.
Pro ($4.99/month) unlocks unlimited receipts, unlimited projects, clean PDF and CSV exports, and iCloud backup. You can start a 14-day free trial from the Settings → Upgrade to Pro screen. No charge until the trial ends.
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Jobsnap → tap Cancel Subscription.
Your Pro access remains active until the end of the current billing period. Your receipts and data are never deleted — you can export everything before downgrading.
Yes. Scanning, editing, and organizing receipts all work fully offline — OCR runs on-device using Apple's ML framework, so nothing is sent to a server during capture. An internet connection is only required to sync your iCloud backup (Pro) and to complete in-app purchases.
Receipt data and images are stored locally on your device. Pro users additionally sync to their personal iCloud account using encrypted iCloud Drive storage — we never have access to your receipts.

If you are a Pro subscriber with iCloud backup enabled, reinstall Jobsnap, sign in with the same Apple ID, and your receipts will restore automatically from iCloud.
Free accounts store data locally only. If you deleted the app without a backup, the data cannot be recovered. We recommend upgrading to Pro or regularly exporting your receipts as a PDF/CSV safety copy.
